Writing On Medium — So Far
The Good, Bad and Ugly
I started writing on Medium in November of 2021 for several reasons. First, I wanted to start to develop the habit of regularly sitting down to pound out a few paragraphs. Secondly, I wanted to begin to work on the craft of writing.
Through this first month of writing I have written on a number of topics and I have begun to learn and improve my process. This article reflects on my journey thus far and I wanted to share what has been good, what has been bad and what has been just down right frustrating.
Oh and I have a bit of advice to share, so keep reading.
The Good
First, I will dive into what has been good (fitting since that’s how I titled the article right?).
Medium has been very easy to use and work in. I love the flexibility of being able to open a browser, log into my account and quickly create. The Medium community has been informative and other authors have been supportive. There are countless articles about using this platform and even more about how to begin to interact with the Medium community. Another wonderful thing about Medium is the ability to pound out a few words and walk away without worry. The platform saves your work as you go. This has allowed me to engage in my process in the small windows of time…
