Advice from a long time remote worker
When the pandemic started, life changed for everyone. For many professionals, the pandemic shifted their work from an office space to a kitchen, living room or home office.
I was once an oddity, a business professional that officially worked out of a branch office for a corporation, but actually worked from home. From 2012 to 2020, I was unusual and I often felt like my job was on the line or that my ability to advance was very limited because I was not in the company office.
Guess what, now I’m normal. In fact, now I have an advantage. I’ve been doing this for years and I’m really good at working remote. I’m going to share my tips and tricks for not just surviving as a remote worker, but thriving as a remote worker.
Thriving? How can that be?
Just like anything else we do, working remotely requires practice to master. Being able to get your job done from home always sounded like a fantastic thing, but the reality is it’s hard. There are several things you can do to make this easier.
