A few months ago, we started looking into replacing an aging car that was creeping up on mileage. After looking around, we decided that an electric vehicle might be in our future. We had several things that played into it. Here are some of the key factors we considered -

• Mileage — I’ve started driving more for our job and I’m being paid mileage.
• Eliminating things like oil changes, oil leaks, and other maintenance associated with ICE vehicles.
• Performance — There is something intoxicating about the 0–60 of an EV.
• Next Gen Tech — We’re tech people at heart, so having the latest tech in a car was attractive.

What options did you consider?

Our previous vehicles have been Lexus, Infiiti and a Porsche Cayenne (we’ll write about that in a future article). I typically do heavy research into products I buy and cars are no different. After several months of reading and watching reviews, our family decided that a Mustang Mach E was the thing for us. So we started shopping. When considering an EV, this is what we decided were the top priorities -
