Thanks for sharing this. It is a good reminder of the dangers we face as freelancers rather than being employees of a company. It also points out why we need to be sure to charge enough to cover these types of incidents. Big business certainly builds something into their fees to cover their unforeseen issues - legal, insurance etc. We have to make sure as freelancers we don't give away the only resource we have - our time.
