The Good and The Bad — No Ugly
We have had our Tesla Model 3 Performance for almost exactly one year now. In that time, we have driven our exciting little EV all over town and out of state a few times. We have uncovered 3 things that we think have been game-changers for us and one thing that drives us a bit crazy.
Our 3rd Favorite Thing is…
We love the performance. This probably seems obvious to most, but to those that are unaware, the Tesla Model 3 Performance is supercar quick. While it only gets to about 155mph (we haven’t tested that) it will do 0–60 in 3.1 seconds. It does that without the tires slipping or any pull. The car never feels unsafe.
I can’t tell you how many times someone in a big muscle car has pulled up next to us and actually tried to race. On the rare occasion where we’ve put our foot down, the other person gets embarrassed. This isn’t a regular thing for us, but it has been funny a few times.
The other effect of this performance is that you feel safer. When we have been in heavy traffic somewhere like Dallas, Texas, the Tesla has allowed us to move in and out of traffic with ease. The car actually prevented a few accidents for us because we were able to respond to other people being stupid in a way no other car can.
