People have to be able to travel. There are a variety of ways they can do so, but the actual need to be able to move about won't change. In some markets, such as the area where I live, public transit simply isn't an option. Switching to EV's is costly and may hurt a families finances (especially if it isn't already time to invest in a new vehicle). We need oil and we need all of it we can get. There are tons of other things the stuff is used for, and for that reason, I'd prefer we stop burning it.
