Cruelty Squad a…. review?!
Or my wtf is this my brain hurts
First, let me say that I grew up gaming. The first game I remember playing was Pong. I remember when we got our wood grain Atari 8600 and playing so much Combat, Adventure and Atari Baseball that we wore out joysticks regularly. I’ve played everything from Intellivision to Xbox Series X and Play Station 5. My point is that throughout all the years of playing every wacky game you can imagine…. I’ve never seen anything remotely this disturbing.
So why are we talking about this?
I was going to post a review of Cruelty Squad on Steam, but the thumbs up and thumbs down system is just totally inadequate for this game. I wanted to get something up that covered what this is and provide some insight on why (or why not) someone should play this mind trip of a game.
What is Cruelty Squad?
I’m not going to get to deep into the roots of Cruelty Squad, but I will say that the game has many themes that oppose capitalism and the cut throat nature of modern society. I do feel that this game’s message is much deeper and that it looks into how stale life has become for some people in today’s world.
