Car Buying — Shopping on Carvana
Why aren’t other dealers this easy to deal with ?!
Over the past several years, I’ve bought and sold a number of cars. I had a Lexus I loved, but then decided I wanted something smaller so I started looking at other options.
During my research, the vending machine dealer known as Carvana popped up. I remember the first time I saw their set up during a trip to Dallas Texas and I thought “wow, thats really goofy”. I was wrong. It’s really amazing.
I decided I was interested in a Mini Cooper Countryman. I was willing to have it transported from about anywhere (this was 3 years ago) and was fine with buying an older model as long as it was loaded out.
Carvana had a 2013 Mini Cooper Country that met my requirements and the specific one I found only had 2,000 miles on it. Yea, it was 6 year old car with 2,000 original miles on it. Because of the way Carvana provides information, I was able to track the car’s history and determined it was likely a floor model that had somehow sat in a dealership for an extended time. They even had service records showing that maintenance happened regularly.
